Chuck Mangione

I was just watching a video about a private eye who has two prosthetic arms (ironically, his name is "Jay J Armes") that was posted on Projectionist.

The soundtrack reminded me of Chuck Mangione ... although, it's probably actually Herb Alpert and the Tijuana Brass.

Chuck was a flugelhorn player whose music I loved back in the 70s.

In particular, he wrote the soundtrack for a film called The Children of Sanchez, which starred Anthony Quinn and was based on the novel of the same name.

Here's Chuck playing the title track. I assume the accompanying video is scenes from the movie.

Enjoy!
